When hosting a backyard party, never assume that someone is watching the kids. It does not take long for a child to drown, so be sure not to take your eyes off the pool or leave the kids unattended. Keep a phone by the pool just in case you need to call emergency services. If your children haven’t already taken swim lessons, we recommend enrolling them in swim lessons before getting a swimming pool. Enroll yourself in CPR training in case you need to save someone’s life in an emergency.
